Los Bravos
Bring a little lovin' (1966)
Los Bravos, a Spanish rock quintet from the 60s, were most famous for their single "Black is Black", which reached #2 in the U.K. Charts and #4 in the U.S. in 1966. They were one of the only rock groups from a non-English speaking country to have an international hit, impressively managing to transcend cultures and national boundaries even in the turbulent sixties. Based in Madrid, Spain, they achieved some further success, but the tragic death of key band member Manuel Fernández brought things to a screeching halt.
