Pick up the pieces one by one (1975)
A.A.B.B. stands for Above Average Black Band and is a one-release artist on James Brown's short-lived Identify label. The track Pick up the pieces one by one is a reaction of James to his former proteges of the new J.B.'s releasing and scoring with pick up the pieces and cut the cake as the average white band. Since AWB's tracks are clearly pastiches of original hits by the J.B.'s (Gimme some more, pass the peas and Hot pants road), James orders up a heavily overdubbed remix of his original Hot pants road.
